Fathers of all sizes instantly appear in front yards holding cell phones up to their faces and they start taking pictures while mothers and wild flowers gather at corners. The fat old rainbow just hangs there until everybody’s necks are tired and it’s finally time to go back inside for supper. Grandpa says he’s ready to eat because he’s already seen one of those before. It was down by the river just after the war. He sent it away on a postcard, but he can’t remember who to or why for.
