The High Priestess.
How could I forget the High Priestess. I really am going to try not to skip around anymore. This card seemed a little less inspiring for some reason. I placed the High Priestess on the opposite end of the lake from the Magician. I decided against another silhouette. A magician is much easier to invoke in shadow than a priestess. I’ve seen quite a few magicians, but I’ve never seen a priestess. What does one look like? I was trying to think of another figure from Minnesota history to use as a model. I looked through pictures of Aquatennial and Saint Paul Winter Carnival Queens. None of them looked religious to me. I thought about cutting and pasting Michelle Bachmann into card, but I just couldn’t find a picture of her looking calm or stable.
The High Priestess is often associated with the card reader or the querant. The card may be interpreted as a secret being kept or revealed. In readings, the High Priestess poses a challenge to go deeper and look beyond the obvious to the obscure. It is a card for forming ideas and exploring possibilities. The High Priestess asks you to recall the vastness of your potential and to remember the unlimited possibilities you hold within yourself. She usually represents a time of waiting and allowing. It is not always necessary to act to achieve your goals. Be patient and let life come to you. You can safely trust your intuition, it is almost always right, but you may be missing the signs in your current circumstances. When the dust settles a path will be revealed.
