Minnehaha Avenue at Thirty-seventh Street Then and Now

Then

A Streetcar on Minnehaha Avenue at Thirty-seventh Street looking north, Minneapolis in 1905.

Minnehaha is  fine long street arched with double rows of large trees. The street grid for the area is aligned on a diagonal with the Mississippi River. The avenue was used as a setting for Laura Landvick’s 1996 novel, “Patty Jane’s House of Curl”.
