…Continuing on Marshall avenue to the bridge and over the bridge to Lake Street. Just above the bridge is a government dam, originally suggested to improve navigation above Minnehaha. It is being finished by degrees. and possibly it may be utilized in furnishing electricity for power and light to the residents at Fort Snelling.
Looking down the river the view is well worth the trip. Your nickle fare was exhausted at the bridge, and another nickle is taken, and is good for a ride on the same car to the business center of Minneapolis or by transfer to any portion of the city. As we are bound for Minnehaha. we take a transfer for Fort Snelling or Minnehaha cars. To the left, about one half mile from Minnehaha Avenue is Wonderland, one of the great scenic shows. so popular wherever located.
