Born in 1876, Otis Edgar Clymer spent most of his baseball career as a right fielder. During his six season major league career, he played with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators, Chicago Cubs, and the Boston Braves. During his time in the majors, Clymer had a .267 batting average (355-for-1330) with 182 runs, 2 home runs, 98 RBI, 83 stolen bases and 99 bases on balls. In 1909 he was sent to the minors and joined Minneapolis Millers. Clymer struggled at the plate during his first year with the team, but went on to have a few great seasons with a few championship Miller teams from 1910-1914. Minneapolis took the American Association champions from 1910-1912. Clymer hit better than .300 with each of those teams, and made it to the .342 mark in 1911. He also brought 48 doubles and 10 triples that year, for a total of 216 hits. He began 1911 with a 28-game hitting streak, setting an American Association record. Clymer became a car dealer after he retired from Baseball. In 1926 automobile accident in St. Paul took his life. Clymer is buried at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, Wisconsin.
