Situated at Willowbrook, take a Rondo and Maria car to the Indian Mounds, 3 miles, follow the path down the bluff to hatchery. The hatchery owns 21 acres of land and will soon be amongst the first in the country. It is beautifully located below high bluffs and numerous springs provide cool crystal water in abundance.
In the ponds may be seen all kinds of trout, and in the hatching rooms one may see spawn and fry at all stages of development. One of the buildings contains a partial collection of Minnesota game birds. Every year the hatchery distributes many millions of fry of trout, pike, and bass. Parties desiring fry should apply to Game and Fish Com missioners, State Capitol, St. Paul.
