St. Paul , Capitol of Minnesota , is one of the most diversified industrial cities in the nation. It is a financial , transportation , wholesale , and distribution center for the Upper Midwest area . Noted for its fine residential sections , St. Paul “combines good business with good living.” It has exceptional recreational facilities, with 88 parks inside the city limits and “30 lakes within 30 minutes.”Shown in the foreground, above, is a portion of the Mississippi River in downtown St. Paul .Saint Paul is the second largest city in Minnesota, known for its exceptional industrial productivity. It has 9 railroads, 37 motor truck terminals ,over 100 truck lines, 7 airlines, and 25 barge lines .
