Company Called Finest In America Gives Spectacular Productions of Classics
Twin Cities visitors are placing the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre first on their list of things to do these days. Called “the finest single theatre in America” by Show magazine, the company of more than 25 professional actors from across the country has won a reputation for spectacular and brilliantly entertaining productions of classic plays during the summer. Headed by the internationally known actor-director, Douglas Campbell, the group is presenting five plays in 1966 between May 31 and December 11 in their breathtaking theatre adjacent to Waiker Art Center. Performances are given in the evening at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with matinees at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
