Old Folks’ Haven Recently Completed at a Cost of $225,000

The Ebenezer Old Folks’ Home, located at 2545 Portland Avenue and maintained by the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America for its elderly members, will be dedicated at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The dedicatory address will be delivered by Dr. J. A. Ansgaard, president of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America. Dr. C. M. Roan will also speak, and a concert will be performed by the Norwegian Glee Club of Minneapolis.

The first unit of the Ebenezer Home was completed and dedicated in March 1920, and the facility now accommodates 150 residents. The recently completed final unit provides space for an additional 52 residents. The main building is 104 feet long, 38 feet wide, and three stories high, featuring large, airy rooms, fireproof stairways, and an additional structure measuring 40 by 60 feet that houses the dining room and kitchen.
