To Anoka
Same as Run No. 14, as far as Osseo. The road goes straight through that place and cannot be lost. Outside of town it runs straight north for about two miles, thereafter to the northwest for another couple of miles, and lastly straight north again until Champlain is reached. Several cross roads are passed, but no road forks. You strike Champlain first, on this side of the river. From that place a suspension bridge leads across the river to Anoka. which is about 20 miles distant from the West hotel. Anoka is quite a large milling town with several good hotels. The road between Anoka is all good, with the single exception of between Robbinsdale and Osseo. It runs through a very nice farming country and proffers many enjoyments for eyes open to the beauties of nature. It is best to return along the same road. There are roads on both sides of the river that lead directly to Minneapolis, but neither of them are good. They are sandy and very tiresome.
